We're glad you're interested in the LAN party. You know, there's not very many geeks in Arkansas, are there? And the few there are, need to band to gether and frag each other once in a while . So here's a quick list of the required stuff: BRING: 1. Your computer (duh). You'll need to make sure your computer has an ethernet port. (a.k.a. NIC, network card, CAT-5 jack, ect.) 2. Mouse, keyboard, monitor. Because if you sit down and think about it, you'll need to see to frag. And things to control your frags. 2.5. If you don't have a computer, but want to join in on the fun. Bring an Xbox 360 and a TV. Be sure to bring controlers and A/V cables and other stuff you might want. 3. Headphones. The bigger and louder and with more bass punch the better. 4. Powerstrip. It would be be traumatization not to be able to plug all your tech crap up, wouldn't it? 5. Soft drinks, snacks, ect. 6. Money for entry fee and food, and any raffles/tournaments that are planned. 7. CDs, with drivers, and any game CDs as well.
DO: 1. If possible install all games planned before you arrive. 2. Update all drivers. 3. Make sure you're running an antivirus program. Update your OS. 4. Clean your screen of all greasy fingerprints.
RULES:
1. Since we rent the space in which we host our LAN party, please be considerate of others. This means cleaning up after yourself and keeping halfway calm. Remember, not all people are created gamers, and some are downright dull and can't understandte enthusiasm brought on by a swift headshot. 2. Any hacking, cracking, or spreading of viruses/worms/spyware/malware will be ejected immediately from the event. No refund, and no admittance to later LAN parties. 3. Cheating in any game will result in an immediate kick out. 4. We reserve the right to eject any disruptive players from the event. 5. Any inappropriate behaviour and/or content will result in the ejection of the person with no refund. 6. We are not responsible for any items that are lost, stolen, forgotten, or abducted by aliens. 7. One network port is available to each participant. No more. Unless you ask. 8. Internet access may or may not be available at the event.
